Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the impact something like this must have had on Kevin Kennedy’s family and friends. It's so tragic to consider not only the immediate heartbreak they endured but the long-term pain they faced while Kevin was receiving care, hoping for a miracle that sadly didn't come. His death in July 2018, over a year later, must have been incredibly distressing, closing a chapter they were probably unprepared to conclude. It's important not to forget that even when the headlines fade, the families continue to carry their grief. I can’t imagine going through such an extended period without certainty about a loved one's future—holding on to hope while grappling with the injustice of the situation. I've been thinking about Kevin Kennedy a lot lately, especially since it's coming up on the anniversary of when he finally succumbed to his injuries. It's always so difficult when someone so young and full of potential is taken so senselessly. What haunts me is the thought of his family watching him struggle for over a year after the shooting, hoping for a miracle that never came. I can't imagine the pain they must have endured during those 18 long months. It’s a testament to their strength and love for him that they carried on through it all. Does anyone know if there were any appeals in the case after Moore's sentencing? I know sometimes these things drag out for years even after a plea deal. It's just so upsetting to think about how truly devastating his loss has been for so many people.
