I've been following the Daquan Hooks case since it first made headlines, and today's verdict has left me with so many mixed emotions. It's hard not to think about what Hooks' family must feel after all these years. Six years with this hanging over their heads, only to see a not-guilty verdict unfold. Regardless of the jury's decision, I can't help but feel for the loss that his loved ones experienced. Does anyone else find it perplexing how much the case depended on phone records? It's 2023, and I would have expected there to be more advancements in investigative techniques. The prosecution seemed to hinge so much on digital evidence, but I guess it just wasn't enough. While the justice system did its part, it's truly difficult to find closure in situations like this. I hope Daquan's family and friends find some peace and that this case doesn't overshadow the good times they shared with him. Anyone here want to share their insights into how digital evidence is weighed in court cases?
