I came across this case recently and it's just so frustrating to see it still unsolved. It breaks my heart for Michael Derricote, Jr.'s family and loved ones. I can't imagine the pain they've been through since that tragic night in April 2017. It must be incredibly difficult not knowing who is responsible or why this happened.
I'm curious if anyone has heard any updates or seen new details regarding potential suspects? It seems odd that there haven't been any arrests after all this time, especially with a reward being offered. My thoughts are with the detectives who must be working tirelessly to piece everything together. I hope there's someone out there who might have seen or heard something that could help. Stay strong to all those affected. ❤️
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share something that's been on my mind about the Michael Derricote case. It's been over six years, and there still seems to be a lack of solid leads. I can't help but think about the community around Stanton Road where the shooting happened. It must be so unsettling for the residents there, knowing that someone in their midst could have answers or even be responsible for what happened.
I’m hopeful that the reward might encourage someone to come forward with information. Even the smallest detail could be what the police need to move forward. It’s frustrating, but I really believe justice can be achieved if people piece together what they know.
Sending peace to Michael’s family and friends during this difficult time. ? If anyone here has thoughts on constructive ways the community can rally around them, I'd love to hear it.
Stay safe all.
It's been over six years since Michael Derricote, Jr. was tragically taken from his loved ones, and it's disheartening to see that his case remains unsolved. I wanted to talk about the impact his story has on the community and how it serves as a reminder of the ongoing violence that affects so many families. It's frustrating and painful to think that Michael's family is still waiting for answers and justice.
I came across the information about the $25,000 reward offered by the MPD for any leads, and it got me wondering if there's more that we, as a community, can do to help. Does anyone know if there have been community-driven efforts or vigils held for Michael? Sometimes, keeping a victim's memory alive through community awareness can bring forward the crucial piece of information needed to solve a case. If anyone has ideas on how we might contribute or push for more public attention on Michael’s case, please share. His family deserves closure, and hopefully one day soon, we can help them find it.
