I was reading about Bernardo Catalan's tragic death, and it really hits hard knowing how young he was. He was just 19, with so many possibilities ahead. It’s devastating that his life was cut short due to gun violence. Logan Square should be a place where young people like Bernardo can walk around without fear. I'm wondering, does anyone know whether there have been any community responses to improve safety in the area since that awful event? It feels like there has to be more we can do to prevent such tragedies from repeating. Thoughts and prayers are definitely with Bernardo’s family and friend who survived. This kind of thing can truly tear a community apart, and it’s important we stand together to fight this kind of violence.
