It's truly devastating to see what happened to James Eric Ferrell on that Halloween night in 2018. I can’t stop thinking about how brazen this attack was, right outside Union Station of all places. It's a busy area, and I imagine there were plenty of people around even at that time. It just makes you question everything about safety and vigilance in public spaces. A detail that stands out to me is the description of the suspects. For them to all wear dark clothing—was it planned, or was it just a coincidence? It raises so many questions about their intent that night and whether there was more going on beneath the surface than just a chance encounter. The arrest of MacArthur Venable is a step in the right direction, but there seems to be more layers to unfold here. There's a reward for information which suggests that they’re maybe not as confident about having the full picture yet. My heart goes out to James’s family and friends. I hope they find some peace and that justice, in all its complexity, prevails for them all.
