I’ve been thinking about the location of Rashid Ferguson’s murder on 51st Street, NE. Does anyone know if there have been other violent incidents in that area leading up to September 2019? It seems like such a peaceful neighborhood otherwise, so it’s baffling and incredibly sad that something like this could happen there. If anyone has insight into the local context, it might help us understand if this was an isolated incident or part of a bigger issue. I'm hoping someone who knows the neighborhood might have some thoughts or observations. Rashid and his family deserve justice and answers, and maybe piecing together the area’s history could shed some light.

I keep thinking about the impact this tragedy has had on Rashid Ferguson’s community. It’s just so unsettling to think that someone so young and full of potential was taken away in such a violent manner. I can’t imagine how his family and friends are coping with their loss, and my thoughts are with them as they navigate this incredibly challenging time. The fact that there’s still no solid leads or arrests in his case must be frustrating for everyone involved. The community needs closure, and Rashid and his loved ones deserve justice. I’m really hoping that people will come forward with any information, no matter how small, that could help the detectives leading the case. Maybe someone out there saw something that night that didn’t seem important at the time but could now be a key piece of the puzzle. I’m urging everyone in the area to recall that night and report anything relevant to Detective Covington or Detective White. Let’s not let Rashid’s case go cold when we might be able to help bring some peace to his loved ones.

I can't stop thinking about how terrifying it must have been for Rashid in those last moments. I read that the area where he was found isn’t the safest, especially late at night. It makes me wonder if it was just a random act of violence or if there was something more to it. Has there been any word on whether this was a targeted attack, or are the detectives still leaning towards it being random? Also, does anyone know if there were any surveillance cameras nearby that might have captured footage? Praying for Rashid's family—they deserve justice and answers. If anyone has heard anything, please speak up. It could make all the difference.
