I came across this case about Toussaunt Tarquann Strong, and a thought struck me about the role of video evidence in trials today. It's chilling to think that even though there was video of the chase, no one captured the moment of the crime itself. It's a reminder of how crucial every piece of surveillance can be, even if it's just a few seconds of footage. I can't help but think about how hard it must have been for Toussaunt’s family to watch that video, knowing what happened just moments later. Thankfully, the pieces that were gathered helped secure a conviction. Huge props to the MPD and U.S. Attorney’s Office for piecing everything together and getting some justice for Toussaunt and his family. It’s cases like these that show how tireless work behind the scenes really makes a difference. How are we feeling about surveillance today, especially in solving crimes where direct witnesses aren’t available?
