Hey everyone, I can’t stop thinking about how Cyhneil Smith’s case overlaps with her sister Mecca’s tragedy. Two young lives, taken in such a brutal manner, just seems incredibly surreal. What strikes me is how both incidents involve being found in their cars, which makes me wonder if there's a connection between the two, or if it's just heart-wrenching coincidence. It's so haunting to think about the emptiness their family must feel. Two incredible lives, full of potential and taken so soon. I really hope the $25,000 reward motivates someone to come forward with information. The community owes it to Cyhneil, Mecca, and their loved ones to find some form of justice. How do you all feel about the lack of details from the MPD? Do you think there could be more happening behind the scenes? Let’s keep this discussion alive and hopefully bring some clarity to their family. Suggestions and thoughts welcome.

I’ve been thinking so much about Cyhneil and Mecca lately. Losing two daughters in such a tragic and violent way is unimaginable for any family. I grew up around Fort Dupont Park and it’s really saddening to see these areas, which have so many positive memories for some of us, marred by such brutal events. Something that keeps crossing my mind is the lack of witnesses or descriptions. How can a neighborhood just stay quiet when something this violent happens twice to the same family? Does anyone remember if there were any community meetings or increased police patrols after Mecca's murder? It’s hard to understand how these cases haven’t pushed the community or investigators into high gear yet. I really hope someone with any useful info finds the courage to step forward, even if they fear speaking out. Let's keep talking about Cyhneil and Mecca and hope that pressure helps bring some justice to this family.

Hey everyone, I've been following the cases around the Fort Dupont Park area, and the fact that Cyhneil and her sister Mecca both lost their lives to such senseless violence is beyond tragic. What's really troubling to me is the lack of any leads or suspects after all this time. How does something like this happen twice in the same family without any resolution? It sounds like the police incentives haven't led to any breakthroughs. Two years between these two murders is a long time for a family to live in limbo. I can't even begin to imagine the continued agony their loved ones must be facing, not knowing why or who. If there's anyone here who lives in the vicinity or has any connections there, maybe it's time to amplify the conversations or push for more coverage. We're dealing with two young lives lost and family torn apart by unanswered questions. If we could somehow trigger a renewed interest or get someone to come forward with more information, it could mean the world to Smith's family and might finally bring them some peace. Hoping for some form of justice soon. Let's keep these discussions going and see if we can turn up anything new.
