I’ve been following the case of Damareus Scott, and something that stands out to me is the lack of information about the suspects. It’s really concerning that after so much time, the authorities are still working with so few details publicly, despite their efforts and the reward. The community in Southeast DC must feel a mix of fear and frustration with no arrests made. I really hope someone with crucial information finds the courage to come forward. It’s tough to see the family still seeking answers and justice - they deserve closure. Has anyone heard about any community meetings or gatherings organized to discuss this case or ways to support the police investigation?
Did anyone else notice the lack of security footage released in the area around Alabama Avenue, where Damareus Scott was tragically shot? With such a busy street, you’d think there would be cameras capturing at least some footage that could be helpful to the investigation. I get that sometimes footage might not be clear or useful, but not mentioning it at all makes me wonder if they have something they’re keeping under wraps for investigative reasons or if it’s just a dead end.
It’s just so incredibly frustrating to think about how many people must have been in that area at that time that might have seen something. My heart goes out to Damareus’s family and friends; they deserve answers and justice. If anyone was around there at the time, please come forward. We can't let this case go cold.
Has anyone else noticed how quiet the neighborhood's been since Damareus Scott's tragic murder? I can't help but feel the weight of his loss in the community. I mean, it's been some time now, and considering it happened in such a well-populated area, you'd think someone might have seen or heard something. I've seen his mom a few times, and my heart goes out to her every single time.
