I am deeply saddened by the loss of Garry Stanley Sr. It's hard to imagine the fear and chaos those residents must have felt that night. With the incident happening so close to Nationals Park, there's a sense of safety that's been shattered. As a community, how do we even begin to process such events occurring in our neighborhoods? Garry dedicated 19 years to protecting others, and it's awful that his life was cut short in such a senseless manner. We should also not forget the other victims; the woman who was injured must be going through an incredibly difficult time as well. I hope the police are able to bring the perpetrator to justice soon and provide some peace to those affected. Let's keep discussing and sharing any updates we might find, so we can help keep Garry's memory alive and push for answers.
