Hi everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of Cesar Barrera, and something that really stands out to me is the long period that passed between the attack and his actual passing. It's truly remarkable, and to think about the resilience and fight he must have had for nearly two years after such a terrible incident is really touching. I can't imagine what his family and friends went through during that time, holding onto hope for his recovery.
The complicated part about cases like this is the delay in justice and closure. For over a year and a half, Barrera's loved ones had to face uncertainty, and now they continue to fight for justice. It's infuriating that there hasn't been an arrest yet. I'm hoping that the MPD gets a break soon, and maybe that reward will encourage someone to come forward. It's beyond time for those responsible to be held accountable.
Anyone else have thoughts on what might help bring more attention to the case? Sometimes it feels like these things just fade into the background, but this family deserves answers.
Stay safe, everyone.
