Hello everyone,

I am Wendy’s son… she was an incredible person, a true light in the world. Although no calls had been made for domestic disputes at this address, I had called the police once before on wade for hitting me in the face at a prior residence. I was 15 years old when her life was cut short. A few weeks before this tragedy my mom had told me in privacy that she was worried for her safety. She felt trapped. As wade knew everything about her quaint Henderson life. There was nowhere she could’ve gone to escape his reach. She expressed to me that she knew I would be okay if she was gone. At the time I didn’t quite realize she was foreshadowing the possibility of her own death. That conversation has haunted me throughout the years of grief. Sometimes I think if I were there that night the outcome would’ve been different, but I very well could’ve lost my life. In a way I think she knew what was going to happen and made sure it happened while I was safe at my dad’s.

I feel so bad for wades daughter having to find them there. Nobody should have to find their parent dead like that.

if you made it this far thanks for reading, I just wanted to leave a little bit more information about my mom (Wendy) here. My mom was a strong woman. It is extremely hard to escape these domestic abuse situations. The Warning signs were all there and I know she knew it. I believe The events of this tragedy and others like it can feel like an inescapable fate.

look out for anyone you my know in a situation like this. You just may be able to save a life.

I love you mom

Thank you for sharing this. Your love for your mom is so clear, and your strength in telling her story is deeply moving. I’m so sorry for what you’ve been through. Wendy sounds like an incredible person, and it’s heartbreaking that she felt so trapped. Your message is a powerful reminder of how serious and hidden domestic abuse can be.

Thinking of you, and sending love and strength.

I've been following the Whitmore-Adams case and my heart goes out to their families, especially Adams' daughter. I can't imagine the shock and pain she must have felt finding her parents like that. Something that's been on my mind is the lack of prior domestic violence reports. It makes me wonder how much we truly know about what happens behind closed doors. Situations like this remind us how crucial it is to notice and address signs of distress in loved ones, even when there are no past incidents. It’s just a real tragedy, and I hope the investigation brings some clarity and closure to everyone involved. If anyone has insights or theories, I’d be interested to hear.
Hi everyone,
I'm really troubled by the thought of how Wendy’s life was cut short and can't stop thinking about her family, especially Adams' daughter. It's heartbreaking to imagine what she must have felt witnessing such a devastating scene. I wonder if there were any warning signs or circumstances that might have hinted at Wade's state of mind before this horrible event.
It's concerning that there weren’t any known domestic issues prior to this—makes me wonder how often these things can go unnoticed. I hope anyone who might be struggling in silence sees this and understands the importance of reaching out for help. It's just so important to have open conversations and provide support before it might be too late.
Sending thoughts to their families during this unimaginably difficult time.
Has anyone else been thinking about the role of the anonymous passer-by who called 911? I can’t stop wondering what it must have been like for them to stumble across such a distressing scene. To see Adams' daughter crying and then to take the initiative to call for help—it really hits me how crucial it is to have kind-hearted individuals in our communities. It might seem small, but that passer-by's action brought attention to a terrible tragedy that might've gone unnoticed for longer. My heart truly goes out to all the families involved. As crushing as this situation is, I hope we can find some solace in the fact that people were there to respond, care, and help as best they could. What do you all think about the important, albeit unheralded, roles of people like this in such circumstances?
