Has anyone else heard about the candlelight vigil that was held for Buddy at Craig Ranch shortly after his passing? It was touching to see the community come together in such a heartfelt way to honor his life. I didn’t know him personally, but attending the vigil gave a glimpse into how loved and cherished he was by so many. It’s just so sad to think that someone with so much potential could be taken from this world so senselessly. It really makes you wonder about all the lives he could have touched had he been given more time. As we wait for any updates on the investigation, I hope that justice comes for his family and friends who are still grieving over this tragic loss. Anyone else attended or heard any more from the family on this?

Has anyone else noticed the lack of updates in Alika Chappell-Hersh’s case? It’s been over eight years since that tragic day at Craig Ranch Regional Park, and there still seems to be a frustrating silence. I can't imagine the pain that his family must be feeling, not only from losing Alika but also from not having any answers. It's so hard to see this happen time and again with victims of gun violence. I wonder if the community or local authorities have set up any memorial events or initiatives in his name to keep his memory alive and help raise awareness? Sometimes bringing people together like that can spark renewed interest in a case. Would love to hear if anyone has any information or updates. Alika deserves justice, and his family deserves some peace.

Hi everyone, I’ve been reading up on Alika "Buddy" Chappell-Hersh's case, and it got me thinking about how community spaces like Craig Ranch Regional Park should feel safe for everyone. It’s so devastating to know that something so tragic could happen in a place where families, friends, and athletes come together to enjoy outdoor activities and create happy memories. In many cases, parks are often frequented by local families, and it’s hard not to wonder if more can be done to ensure these spaces remain safe havens. Maybe there are initiatives or community watch programs we can look into or discussions we could start with local authorities about improving security measures in such public spaces. If anyone has more info on ongoing efforts in that area, I'd love to hear about it! My thoughts are with Buddy’s loved ones who are still dealing with this immense loss. Let's hope that more light is shed on his case soon and that the community can come together to find some sense of peace and security back in such a beloved place. Stay safe, everyone.
