Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the incredible strength and resilience shown by the survivors of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting, especially the friends who were there with Carrie Parsons. It’s unimaginable to be caught in such a terrifying situation, but it’s also heartening to hear stories of those who stood by each other and tried to protect one another amidst the chaos. Carrie's friends, along with everyone else who experienced that night, must carry such a heavy weight from that experience. I can only hope that they’ve found some form of support and healing in the aftermath. I’d be interested to hear more about the support systems that were put in place following the tragedy. It’s crucial for those touched by violence to receive both immediate and long-term assistance to cope with the trauma. If anyone here has insights or resources about the support offered to survivors and witnesses, particularly peer support networks, please feel free to share.
