Hi everyone, I’ve been following the Las Vegas shooting case and felt so impacted by Carly Ann Buchholtz Kreibaum’s story. It’s truly awful to think about how just a few moments of violence can change so many lives forever. One thing that stood out to me was the fact that Carly was initially listed as missing for two days. I can't even begin to imagine the agony her family must have experienced during those hours of uncertainty, hoping and praying she'd be okay. In small towns like in Iowa, where she was from, it’s like everyone’s family. Losing her has surely left a deep void in her community. I wonder if any of you have experienced something similar, and how communities manage to come together and support each other after such a tragedy. Sending love and strength to Carly’s family and everyone else affected. ? What do you think can be done to better support families dealing with the immediate aftermath when a loved one is missing in such chaotic situations? Warm wishes.

I can't stop thinking about the first responders and their unbelievable courage that night. The chaos and horror must have been overwhelming, yet they rushed in to help save lives amid the shooter’s onslaught. While we rightly focus on remembering victims like Carly Ann Buchholtz Kreibaum and supporting her grieving family, I think it's important to also recognize the responders who faced unimaginable scenes and agony themselves. Their bravery saved countless lives, and I hope they receive the support and counseling needed to cope with what they experienced. It’s a sobering reminder of the horrendous realities they’re trained to counter but hopefully never face. And let’s not forget the festival-goers who became heroes that evening, risking their own safety to get others to safety. Has anyone else noticed the incredible stories of humanity emerging from such a dark event?
