I've been thinking a lot about the timeline leading up to the tragic loss of Michelle and Charles. It seems like there were so many red flags with Caleb Maxey’s behavior. From what’s been shared, Michelle was clearly terrified given the history of stalking, and it’s just so painful to hear that he previously set her house on fire with her kids inside. It's gut-wrenching that it escalated to this point. I wonder what more could have been done in terms of legal protection—like stronger restraining orders or more immediate action when she reported the threats. It's a stark reminder for all of us about how critical it is to support victims and really listen to their fears as real threats. My heart goes out to the families and to the lives cut short by such senseless violence. It’s a sobering call to really advocate for stronger protective measures and resources for those facing similar situations.
