Hey everyone, I've been reading through some of the discussions on here about Keith Friese's tragic death, and something that's been bothering me is the decision to drop the charges against Spencer Trevathan. From what I understand, the surveillance footage clearly showed Trevathan as the one who escalated the situation. I can't imagine how Keith's loved ones must feel knowing that, despite what seems like solid evidence, a grand jury decided not to indict. Also, I'm really curious about the potential impact of this case on gun training standards for security personnel. As a firearms instructor, shouldn't Trevathan have been trained to de-escalate situations rather than reach for his weapon? It just doesn't sit right with me, especially when Keith was unarmed and clearly not a threat. I'm not a legal expert, but something about this just feels wrong. Keith's family deserves justice, and I hope they find some peace through their civil lawsuit. If anyone has more insights or knows about similar cases, I'd love to hear your thoughts. It's heartbreaking to see how quickly things went south and ended in such a senseless loss. Stay safe out there, everyone.

Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Keith Friese, and something that really stands out to me is the fact that the lawsuit didn't include Spencer Trevathan. I get that the lawsuit targets the Strip Gun Club and the Fun City Motel for their possible negligence, but it feels odd that Trevathan isn't directly named. He was the one who pulled the trigger after all. Does anyone have insights on why families or representatives might choose not to include the individual in such suits in cases like this? Is it purely strategic, or could there be other reasons? I can't imagine how hard it must be for Keith's family to navigate this legal maze while dealing with such a painful loss. My thoughts are with them, and I hope they find some peace along the way. Would love to hear what others think about this angle.
