I've been following James Jannette's case, and something that intrigues me is the fact that there have been very few reports about potential sightings or leads. It makes me wonder about the possibility of him having traveled outside the Baton Rouge area, or even out of state, potentially complicating the search efforts. With interstate travel, it's so easy for someone to fall off the radar, especially if they aren't using their usual routines or forms of ID. I hope that people in neighboring states are also on the lookout and that they see the postings on NamUs and other databases. It seems like spreading awareness outside of Louisiana might be critical. Thoughts?

Does anyone else find it unusual that James Jannette disappeared without a trace right around the time Hurricane Laura hit? Baton Rouge wasn't directly in the storm's path, but it caused quite a disruption in the region. Could the chaos have made it easier for someone to vanish, or maybe contributed to misplacing evidence? I've seen similar instances where natural disasters add another layer of complexity to investigations. It’s frustrating that the case hasn't seen more leads. Was he perhaps trying to relocate or seek shelter and met with some misadventure? If anyone local remembers any odd occurrences around that time, it might help piece things together. Keeping James and his family in my thoughts.
