I can't stop thinking about the courage it must have taken for Curtis’s girlfriend and the store clerk to hide in the cooler during such a terrifying ordeal. It's haunting to imagine the fear they must have felt hearing those gunshots. I can’t even begin to comprehend the shock they must be facing, especially knowing that someone they cared about didn’t make it out alive. It’s important we keep them in our thoughts as they navigate through such a traumatic time. It’s scary to think this could have happened to anyone just going about their normal night. The randomness of the shooting really makes it hit home. Stay strong, everyone. ?
Does anyone else find it so unsettling to think about the randomness of this tragedy? Curtis Leon Abraham was just sitting in his car, probably thinking about nothing more than when his girlfriend would come back with snacks or drinks. It's hard to wrap my head around how quickly life can change. There were no red flags or warnings, just a night like any other. I can't imagine the pain his friends and family must be feeling, losing someone so dear in such an abrupt and senseless way. It really makes you rethink every moment and the people you cherish. My thoughts are truly with them today. It's a reminder to hug those close to us a bit tighter. Curtis seemed like he was such a vibrant person and by all accounts, he brought so much joy to those around him. Let's hope justice is served.
