I was truly touched by how the community came together to support Anwon's family during such an incredibly tough time. It must have been comforting, at least in a small way, for his parents and siblings to see so many people rally around them at his funeral service in Frogmore. There's something about small communities—the way they show up for one another—it's almost like an extended family. I really hope that in addition to seeking justice for Anwon, everyone continues to keep his family in their thoughts and offer them ongoing support. They need all the strength they can get while navigating such a devastating loss. It’s frustrating that we still don't have any updates or leads on what happened, but I have faith that collectively, we can seek answers and bring some measure of peace to his loved ones.
