Has anyone else been reflecting on the role of the woman driving the Toyota Matrix during that horrible incident that took Juan Flores' life? It's chilling to think that her car became the scene of a tragedy, despite her attempts to stop Zarate from using the gun. I can't even begin to imagine the turmoil she must be experiencing, knowing that a life was lost and she was right there in the middle of it all. I keep wondering what was going through her mind as things escalated. Her initial driving behavior and how it might have contributed to the road rage incident really make you think about how easily these situations can get out of control. From what we've read, it seems like she was cooperating with the police afterwards, but I just can't shake the feeling of sadness for everyone touched by this senseless act—especially Juan's family and friends. In cases like this, I truly hope that people see the need for accountability, while also considering the mental and emotional effects on those who find themselves swept up in violence they couldn't prevent. Just thinking out loud here and hoping justice will be served for Juan. Anyone else have thoughts?
