Has anyone here considered how the location of Mario's Transmission might have played a role in the case? It's really sad to think about how Frank and Mario were working late into the evening at a seemingly routine place like an auto repair shop, only for their lives to tragically end there. I'm curious if detectives looked into the surrounding businesses or if any potential witnesses saw something that night. Given that it happened in a fairly busy area, there must have been people who drove by or were in nearby establishments. Maybe someone saw something and didn’t realize it was relevant at the time. If anyone familiar with the area back then has insights or remembers anything unusual, it could be helpful to the ongoing investigation. My heart goes out to the family and friends who have been waiting for answers all these years. It must be incredibly difficult to move forward without knowing what happened or why. I really hope the new interest in cold cases can finally bring some new leads and someday, justice for Frank and Mario.

Has anyone thought about how devastating it must have been for Frank's mom to lose both her son and husband in one horrific night? I can't even imagine the pain and shock she must have gone through, and still does, without any sense of justice or answers. Denver in the '80s wasn't the safest place, but you'd think something as brutal as this would have had more witnesses or would have been solved by now. It's been over 40 years, and I'm really hoping someone comes forward or that there's some breakthrough soon. Anyone else think that modern forensic tech might be the key here? The fact that a case can stay cold for this long makes me wonder if something was missed early on. Thoughts?

It's been over four decades, yet Frank Lopez and Mario Horta's story still weighs heavily on the hearts of those familiar with their case. I can't help but wonder about the community around Mario's Transmission shop back in 1980. Did anyone see something unusual in the days or hours leading up to that fateful night? It often feels like the smallest detail can be the key to unlocking these cold cases. I'm hoping that with modern technology and renewed efforts, maybe someone who remembers something—anything—will step forward. These families deserve to know what happened to their loved ones. It's never too late for the truth to come out, and every little bit of information could be crucial. If you or anyone you know was in that area during that time, even the tiniest recollection could help.
