I've been following the tragic case of Donna Nez, the young woman who was shot and killed in central Phoenix. What truly stands out to me is the sheer disregard for life displayed by those involved. It's chilling to think about those four men and two women who fled the scene after the shots were fired.
How do we even begin to process this act of violence in a community that so many of us call home? Donna was just 27, with her whole life ahead of her, and it's devastating to see a future cut short like this. It's hard not to imagine the unbearable pain her family must be going through right now.
