I was reading through old news articles about the unsolved murder of Homer Abel, and something that struck me was the description of the suspect's facial hair. It’s mentioned that he had a dark beard and a closely trimmed mustache, which seems pretty distinct. In a small community like Garfield County, I wonder if anyone remembers someone fitting that description from back then? Sometimes these small details, like facial hair, can jog someone's memory, especially after all these years. It's baffling that despite this detailed description and the truck sighting, there hasn’t been a breakthrough. Just hoping that one day, someone remembers something or one little piece of new information surfaces to help give Homer’s family the answers they deserve. If anyone has thoughts or ideas on this angle, it might be worth discussing.
Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the Garfield County cold case involving Homer Abel. It's so devastating that his family has had to endure nearly four decades without answers. Something that’s been puzzling me is why there haven't been more leads concerning the pickup truck. Was it ever located or spotted in neighboring areas around the time of the incident? If it had such a unique description, you'd think someone in those smaller communities would remember it.
It's a long shot, but maybe someone out there recalls seeing that truck or might remember something unusual from back then. Hopefully, someone can come forward and give Homer’s family the peace they desperately need. Every little detail can help, no matter how insignificant it might seem.
Sending strength and hope to all those affected by this tragic injustice. Let's keep this conversation going and help bring some closure to those who have waited far too long.
Would love to hear others’ thoughts!
