I can't stop thinking about the courage it must've taken for eyewitnesses to come forward during the initial investigation of John Gonzales and Richard Romero's murders back in 1994. It's tough to imagine being in their position, seeing such a tragic event unfold, and then deciding to share what they saw with law enforcement. It’s clear they could hold pieces to the puzzle that might help bring justice to John's and Richard's families. I genuinely hope more people in the community who might remember that night near High Street will feel compelled to share what they know. It's never too late to provide information, no matter how insignificant it might seem. My heart goes out to the families who are still waiting for justice. Let's keep supporting them by keeping this case in the spotlight and encouraging anyone with information to speak up. Every little detail might help bring some closure.

I’ve been following the case of John Gonzales and Richard Romero, and it still confounds me how, almost three decades later, there’s so little progress in identifying their killer. One element that really stands out to me is the brazen nature of this crime. The suspect literally emerged from the same car they were in, shot them, and then drove away. This suggests to me that the perpetrator had a level of confidence or motivation that’s unsettling. I’m curious about who else was in the car. Did the other occupants know the suspect, or were they also in the dark about his intentions? The Denver PD must have interviewed them, but it seems like little information has emerged. It must be incredibly difficult for the families of John and Richard to have such little closure after all this time. I hope that someone out there knows something, even if it’s small, that could lead to solving this case and bringing some sense of justice to their loved ones.
