The terrain, the unpredictability, and of course, the constant danger posed by these anti-government survivalists must have weighed heavily on everyone's minds. I hope the sense of solidarity among those searching provided some small comfort to Officer Claxton’s loved ones during such a devastating and unpredictable time. If anything, it’s a reminder of the sacrifices law enforcement and their families endure—just wish Dale’s story could serve as a cautionary tale for those tempted down such destructive paths.
