I'm baffled by the number of unsolved cases connected to the Royal Palace Motel. It's so unsettling to think about what went on behind those walls, especially with John Eggers's tragic death. I did a little digging, and it looks like the motel used to be a haven for all sorts of criminal activity—it's no wonder it attracted such a terrible fate. What's truly frustrating is how the suspect remains unidentified despite all the modern technology we have now. Every year that goes by must be so painful for John's loved ones. I can’t imagine the frustration and sadness they must feel, not knowing what happened or why. I'm hopeful that with advancements in DNA testing, maybe there will be a break in the case someday. Thoughts and virtual hugs go out to anyone following this who knew him or is affected by these cold cases. Does anyone have insights into why the building hasn't been demolished yet? It's just sitting there as a grim reminder of the past.
Hey everyone, long-time lurker but finally decided to share my thoughts. I've been reading about John Eggers's case and something that's been on my mind is the significance of the Royal Palace Motel's location. It's so unnerving how this area was a known hub for illicit activities back in the day. As someone who grew up in Denver, I can remember how notorious that stretch of Colfax was – you’d always hear about crime in that vicinity.
It makes me wonder if the transient nature of the area back then might have been a key factor in why there haven’t been any major leads or witness accounts. People came and went, some were afraid to speak up, and others might not have stayed around long enough to notice anything. I feel for John’s family – not knowing what happened must be excruciating. I hope time and technology eventually bring them the closure they deserve. ?
Would love to hear your thoughts or any insights you might have!
