I was reading about Benjamin Avila's case, and couldn't help but think about how frustrating it must be for his family not having answers after all these years. I wonder if any progress has been made with the DNA technology that they keep mentioning. It seems like such a powerful tool, but it also depends heavily on what's available from the crime scene and if there are any matches in the databases.
I came across something interesting while looking into similar cold cases: sometimes breakthroughs happen when evidence can be re-examined with modern methods. My heart goes out to the family; hoping they’re able to find peace and justice someday soon. If anyone has info or ideas, reach out to authorities. Even the smallest detail could make a difference.
Has anyone else been following the developments with Benjamin Avila's cold case? It's been 23 years, and I can't imagine the pain his family must still be going through. One thing that's on my mind is the impact of newer DNA technology. I've seen cases where DNA advancements have cracked cases wide open after decades. Does anyone know if the Denver PD is using some of these newer technologies, like genetic genealogy, or are they sticking with more traditional methods? It's so crucial for them to explore every possible avenue, and I sincerely hope that someone comes forward with new information. It's never too late for justice! Thoughts?
