Has anyone else been following the Isaiah Roquemore case from 2015? I recently stumbled upon some details and can't stop thinking about the broader implications. Why was Najib Mahamoud even on the streets to begin with? From what I've gathered, there were concerns about his past, so there had to have been some red flags, right? It’s so unsettling to think that someone with a history like his wasn’t under stricter monitoring or at least detained longer. My heart truly goes out to Isaiah’s family and friends. It must be incredibly difficult for them to reconcile his loss, knowing it might have been prevented. How do we ensure situations like this don't happen again? Should there be reforms on how we handle individuals with violent histories? Would love to hear other people's thoughts on what changes could be made to prevent future tragedies.
