Has anyone looked into the fact that Joseph Mora's boat was left behind? It's baffling considering his profession. As a fisherman, wouldn't it be instinctual for him to take his boat if he was planning to head out somewhere, even if not for work? It's not like leaving a car in the driveway; a boat is a part of his livelihood. I've been reading through similar cases and in quite a few, the boat or vehicle missing alongside the person provides significant insights into their disappearance. The fact that his was docked suggests he wasn't planning to leave, or maybe he trusted he'd be back shortly, wherever he went. Could this mean foul play happened on land? It feels like an angle worth exploring as to why no one seems to have seen anything despite how small and close-knit the fisher community tends to be. Any locals from Bradenton at the time recall hearing or seeing anything unusual around June 1978?
Has anyone else looked into the local rumors that Joseph Mora might have been planning to meet someone the day he disappeared? There's a lot of speculation around why his boat was left behind, and it seems odd that a fisherman would just leave it like that unless it was intentional. Some folks in the Bradenton area remembered hearing that he was seen talking to a stranger near the docks a few days before he vanished. Does anyone have info or insight about who this person might have been, or if this angle has been thoroughly explored by investigators? It seems like such a significant detail could be a key piece in understanding what happened.
