Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact Amy’s story has had on her community in Colorado Springs. It’s truly sad how someone so full of life and who cherished the great outdoors met such a tragic end. I came across some old photographs from local hiking groups that she was part of, and you can see her love for nature shining through. Her loss must be a massive void in those communities as well as for her loved ones.
I really hope the hiking trails she loved have become places for reflection and healing for those who knew her. It’s clear she left a mark on everyone she met; everyone speaks of her kindness and how she embraced life. My heart goes out to Amy’s family, friends, and anyone who knew and cherished her.
Stay safe, everyone, and always look out for each other out there. ?️
I came across an old photo of Amy on a hiking trip she took in Garden of the Gods, and it struck me how much of her spirit was tied to her love for nature. It's devastating to think about how such a vibrant life was taken away in such a senseless manner. I can't help but wonder if spending time outdoors provided Amy with some solace during difficult times—if only she had found the right support instead of crossing paths with someone like Thomsen. I genuinely hope that with the awareness raised by her tragic story, more people consider reaching out to loved ones who might be struggling. It's hard not to think that some tragedies might be preventable with just a bit more understanding and care for one another. My thoughts continue to be with Amy’s family, who lost so much, and I hope they find some peace eventually.
