I've been following Kion Perkins' case since the beginning, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. It's unfathomable to lose someone in such a violent manner. I can't stop thinking about the emotional toll this must have on everyone who knew him. The part of this case that intrigues me is the stolen car chase that ended in the suspects' arrest. It’s scary to think about how brazen these individuals were, committing such a crime in the middle of a shopping center and then attempting to flee. Massive credit to the Aurora Police for acting quickly and efficiently to apprehend them before anyone else could get hurt. This case is a reminder of how unpredictable and dangerous the world can be, and why we need vigilant communities and law enforcement working hand-in-hand. It’s reassuring to see some closure with two of the suspects being sentenced, but I sincerely hope that Kion’s loved ones find some peace as they continue to navigate this painful chapter.
