I recently came across the case of Grant Schmidt and was struck by the unusual discovery of his vehicle. It's interesting how his Chevy Blazer ended up abandoned off Burkhalter Road. Witnesses claimed the car sped up a driveway and then crashed into the brush, which seems really strange. I can't help but wonder if there was another person involved. Maybe someone else was driving, or he was trying to escape from someone? The fact that the keys were still in the ignition makes it all the more perplexing. Does anyone familiar with the area of Hillsboro remember anything odd happening around that time? Wondering if there are any local stories that didn't make it into the official reports.
