I've been following the tragic case of the Aurora homicides, and I can't help but think about the immense bravery of Rudolfo Salgado Perez. It's incredibly moving to hear about a neighbor who, without hesitation, rushed to help when he heard gunfire. It breaks my heart to know that this kind of selflessness cost him his life. In times of crisis, it's often our instinct to protect and help others, and Rudolfo's actions show just how courageous and compassionate people can be. I hope his family finds some comfort in knowing he acted out of such nobility and kindness, even amidst such terrifying circumstances. It's frustrating to think that the system designed to protect individuals like Jessica, with measures like restraining orders, still allows such violence to occur. I'm relieved that justice was served with Castorena's sentencing, but I really feel for the families and friends of all the victims. They’ve dealt with an unimaginable loss, and their pain is unfathomable. I'd love to hear if there's any ongoing support or if a community fund has been started to help the affected families. These individuals deserve to be honored and remembered for their lives and sacrifices.
