I can't stop thinking about the little heroes in this terrible situation—the children who had the presence of mind to call 911. It breaks my heart to imagine the courage they showed during such a terrifying and confusing time. Given their young age, it's extraordinary that they were able to call for help when everything around them was so chaotic. It speaks volumes about their bravery and resilience during an unimaginably difficult moment.
I really hope they're getting all the support and love they need from their family and professionals trained to help kids deal with traumatic events. Those kids deserve a future full of love and care, surrounded by people who can offer them some form of normality after such a life-changing incident. It's so hard to understand why these things happen, but one thing is clear: those children's actions were nothing short of heroic.
