Did anyone else catch that police initially didn't force entry during their first welfare check at the Evanston Street house? This detail has been really playing on my mind. I can’t help but wonder if things might have turned out differently if they'd just gone inside a couple of hours earlier. I know it's easy to speculate after the fact, and I trust the officers did what they thought was best given the situation. That said, it's so deeply frustrating knowing that Kaiden, Marisol, and Estancia were found later, and one can't help but think of their families. I look forward to any additional context that might get shared later in the investigation to shed more light on why that decision was made. Sending my thoughts to all affected by this horrifying event.
