I can't stop thinking about the resilience and courage of the lawmen involved in this case, especially Deputy Hall. I've been reading more about his life, and it seems he was quite respected in his community as a prominent cattleman before joining law enforcement. It's hard to imagine how devastating his loss must have been for his family and the Deming community, especially his wife and five kids. The way Hall and the posse tracked down the outlaws miles away at the V Cross T ranch is incredible but also underscores the immense danger they willingly faced. I wonder how Hall’s experience as a rancher influenced his tracking skills and knowledge of the terrain. It's so tragic that his dedication led to his untimely death. I think it's essential for us to remember these brave men and women who risk their lives daily. Anyone else find it interesting how professions then seemed to interweave, with ranchers becoming deputies and so on? It just shows how versatile and tough these individuals were.
