I recently came across the story of Special Agent Truett E. Rowe, and it's been haunting me ever since. I can only imagine the immense grief his family and friends must have felt back in 1937 when they received the devastating news. It's such a harsh reminder of the risks that law enforcement officers willingly face every day. I've been thinking about the public reaction at the time and how it might have influenced the manhunt for Guy Osborne. Rowe's death sparked a widespread effort to bring Osborne to justice. I'd love to hear from anyone who has more insights into the public sentiment or any media coverage details from that time. Thank goodness justice seems to have prevailed eventually, but I'm curious if anyone knows more about the trial or events leading up to Osborne's capture. It's so important to remember and honor those who put their lives on the line to protect others.
