I recently came across the tragic case of Officer Charles Elwood Wasmer, and one detail that's really puzzling to me is the complete lack of information about the suspect or suspects involved in his murder. It's unsettling to think that after all these years, there's still such a cloud of mystery surrounding the case. Does anyone know if there were any whispers or rumors about potential leads that just didn't make it into the official reports? It must be incredibly difficult for his family to find peace without any sense of closure or justice. I can't imagine the frustration for his fellow officers either, knowing their colleague's case went cold.
