I recently stumbled upon the Deputy Gurule case, and I can't stop thinking about the bravery it must take to face such danger while trying to protect others. The moment when the woman ran to warn him about the armed suspect, it just feels so tense and real. It's haunting to imagine what was going through his mind during those final moments. He didn’t even have time to find cover, yet still had the composure to call for backup despite his critical injuries. That demonstrates such incredible courage and dedication. He clearly lived and died a hero. My thoughts go out to his family and the community that has had to carry on without him. How they managed to cope with such a loss is beyond me, but it's a testament to the strength of those who loved him. If anyone has more insights into how the community has continued to honor his legacy, I'd be interested in hearing.
