I'm still trying to wrap my head around how someone could hold onto such dark secrets for over three decades. Apodaca's confession in 2021 was such a twist, especially considering there were no known connections between him and any of the victims, including Kaitlyn. It's mind-boggling that he could detail her murder with such accuracy after all these years. It's a relief to see justice finally catching up with him, but I can't help but feel for Kaitlyn's family. Her mom, Lois Duncan, fought tirelessly to keep her memory alive and to seek answers, even when it seemed like there were none. Kaitlyn and her family have been in my thoughts since this confession came to light. I genuinely hope Lois has found some peace knowing the truth is finally out there, despite the tremendous pain they've all had to endure. What a long and heartbreaking journey to justice.

Has anyone else read Lois Duncan's book, "Who Killed My Daughter?" It's chilling to think about a mother having to take the investigation into her own hands after losing her daughter. Her efforts to uncover the truth for so many years really stood out to me. It highlights not only the pain but also the resilience and determination she had in seeking justice for Kaitlyn. The book dives deep into possible connections and leads, and I can't imagine the emotional toll it must have taken on Lois and her family. It’s remarkable how her unwavering dedication over the decades finally led to revelations that would bring some form of closure. Anyone else find themselves inspired by her strength and tenacity? Would love to hear what others think about her investigative journey!

I recently came across the tragic case of Kaitlyn Arquette and felt compelled to share some thoughts on a particularly haunting aspect — the efforts of her mother, Lois Duncan. As a mom myself, I can't even begin to imagine the desperation and determination she must have felt to launch such an exhaustive investigation into her daughter's murder. To pursue every lead, every theory, especially when the official narrative didn't sit right with her, shows a level of strength that I find absolutely incredible. Lois looked into connections that many might have ignored, such as the possible involvement of a Vietnamese gang. Her ability to gather information and continue fighting for justice through her writing has left a lasting impact, especially with her book "Who Killed My Daughter?" It's both heartbreaking and inspiring to see a parent turn tragedy into a relentless quest for truth. Even though it took decades for Apodaca's confessions to finally bring some closure, Lois's dedication kept her daughter's story in the public eye. I hope her efforts and the ultimate breakthrough provide some measure of peace to all the families affected, and remind us all of the power of a mother's love.
