Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the brave actions of Melissa Repass during the Las Cruces Bowling Alley Massacre. It's truly astounding how a 12-year-old, after enduring such a traumatic ordeal and being critically wounded, had the presence of mind to dial 911. That call was crucial in getting emergency services to the scene, and it's incredible to think that her quick action likely saved the lives of her mother and Ida Holguin. This aspect of the case leaves me with so many questions about what must have been going through her mind in those terrifying moments. How did she find the strength and presence of mind to make that call? It’s a testament to her resilience and courage that she was able to act under such intense pressure. I can’t imagine the emotional scars she's had to cope with since that day, and I hope that she's found some semblance of peace over the years. Her story is a powerful reminder of the strength that can emerge amidst unimaginable horrors, and my heart goes out to her and all the families affected by this awful crime. Still holding out hope for justice in this case, and that those responsible will one day be held accountable. It’s long overdue.
