I came across some old news articles about Elisa Ann Micallef's disappearance and one thing I keep wondering about is the condition of the *Fishers of Men* when it capsized. Were there mechanical issues or did the weather play a huge role? It's peculiar to me that no one else seems to focus much on the boat itself. I haven't found many details on whether the boat was ever inspected post-accident or if there were known hazards that could have contributed to the capsizing. Sometimes these details get overlooked but they might hold clues. Does anyone else have insights or thoughts on what could've happened out there?

Just read about Elisa Ann Micallef's case, and I'm puzzled by the whole situation concerning the orange life jacket. I always thought that life jackets are supposed to be super buoyant and visible from a distance. Given that her two friends were rescued, it makes me wonder what could have gone wrong with hers. Does anyone know if there were any problems with the jackets on *Fishers of Men* at the time? It's strange to think she vanished despite taking basic safety precautions. Hoping for some closure on this someday. Thoughts?

I've been thinking a lot about Elisa Ann Micallef's disappearance and one thing keeps bugging me. When the Coast Guard rescued the two guys she was with, did they mention if she was still visible when they were picked up? I know conditions at sea can be chaotic, but if she was still wearing her orange life jacket she ought to have been more visible. Why did it turn out that nobody saw her, even when help arrived? It just seems so odd that someone in such a noticeable life jacket could vanish so quickly, even in rough seas. Does anyone else think there might be more to explore here? Maybe there’s a chance she drifted away? Would love to hear your thoughts!
