I’ve been following Charlie’s case since it happened, and something that sticks out to me is the struggle the prosecution faced with witness testimonies. It's hard to imagine being in the shoes of Charlie’s loved ones, having to watch as the case against George Bond fell apart due to unreliability in crucial testimonies. It's frustrating because it feels like justice keeps slipping through their fingers. Legal proceedings are supposed to seek the truth, but when witnesses back out or change their stories, as was suggested here, it really hampers getting any sort of closure. Does anyone else worry that intimidation or fear might have played a role in witnesses not coming forward or not testifying truthfully? It’s so upsetting to think that there are those who might know more but choose to stay silent, potentially out of fear. I hope those who loved Charlie find some peace and that one day justice prevails.
