Hey everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of Merehildo Ray "Mere" Contreras and the others who were involved in the Roswell shooting. My heart truly goes out to their families and friends, who are still searching for answers all these years later.
One thing that's really been on my mind is the lack of updates or new leads since it happened. It's baffling to me how a case this serious and with multiple victims isn't getting more attention. I wonder if there are any barriers in the investigation, like witnesses being too scared to speak up, or if there's just not enough evidence to move forward.
Have any of you heard if there are renewed efforts by the community or authorities to keep this case in the public eye? I can't imagine the pain of not knowing, and it seems like as time goes by, it might get even harder to solve. Just hoping someone, somewhere comes forward with something that could help bring closure.
Let's keep talking about this and keep Mere, Shelly, Damon, and Candace in our thoughts. Maybe we can help keep the conversation alive so that justice is finally served.
Take care, everyone.
Does anyone else find it utterly baffling that a whole year passed by without any arrests or solid leads in the tragic case of Merehildo Contreras and the others? It's absolutely devastating for the families involved, having lost a loved one and receiving no justice. It makes you wonder about the effectiveness of the investigation or if there were any crucial pieces of evidence overlooked. The fact that Candace Holloway survived might make you think she could help with identifying the shooter, but it seems nothing has come from it. Also, I've heard Roswell is a tight-knit community, so someone must know something, right? Sending thoughts to all affected as they continue to wait for answers. Any locals have more insight into how this case is being handled, or lack thereof?
Does anyone else find it troubling how quickly this case went cold? It's been over a year, and it seems like there's still no new information or leads. I can't imagine how Merehildo's family must feel, not knowing what really happened that night in Roswell. I keep coming back to the survivor, Candace Holloway—it's rare for there to be a survivor in situations like this. I hope she's finding some peace and healing after such a traumatic event. Has anyone heard anything about her statements or what she saw? I wonder if fear, trauma, or something else is preventing more information from coming to light. It just feels like there should be more to go on with so many victims involved. ?
