Has anyone else been following the Lerma case and noticed the controversy over Clark’s eyewitness testimony? I mean, it’s intriguing how much weight the court put on her identification, despite not picking Lerma out of a lineup. Lerma's defense tried to bring in Dr. Loftus, a well-known expert on the topic, to testify on the fallibility of such IDs, especially when the shooter and eyewitness know each other. What do you all think about the court not allowing this testimony? Could it have shed more light on the unreliability of Clark’s testimony, or do you believe her account was solid enough, given the circumstances? My heart goes out to Jason Gill’s family— this case must be incredibly hard for them. ?
