I came across a news article about Keith Chau and Ai Wei Kaung, and something that struck me was the environment around the Chinatown district where they disappeared. The area is usually bustling, so I'm curious if anyone remembers the community's reaction back then. Did any local businesses recall seeing them that night? Were there any unusual events or disturbances reported in the days leading up to or following their disappearance? It seems strange that they could vanish without a trace in such a lively area. If anyone was around Chinatown in January 1995 or recalls any details, even small ones, it might be worth bringing it up for discussion again.

I came across this article from '95 about Keith Chau and Ai Wei Kaung's disappearance, and one thing that stood out to me is how quiet the media coverage has been over the years. For a case involving a couple vanishing from such a public place like Chinatown, I can't help but wonder why it didn't receive more attention back then. Were there assumptions that they just left on their own, given the domestic issues they had? Or is it a reflection of the times, where missing persons cases weren't given the same focus? It baffles me how these aspects can affect investigation outcomes. Anyone else notice similar patterns in older cases?

Has anyone else looked into the possibility of Keith Chau and Ai Wei Kaung having connections in Taishan? I've been digging around and found that Taishan has a pretty significant overseas Chinese community. Could they have had contacts who helped them disappear, assuming they did go there? It just strikes me as odd that this theory hasn't been seriously pursued, or at least not publicly. If anyone has more info or thoughts about this, I'd love to hear what you think. Maybe there's more to this angle that could be worth exploring.
