Was anyone else struck by the irony of Kenneth Reiss calling the police for help only for the situation to end in such a tragic way? It just feels so confusing and sad that reaching out for protection led to his death. I've read about the settlement the city agreed to, but no amount of money seems to bring real closure or answer the many questions his loved ones must have. Kenneth was clearly a cherished member of the community, especially in the University area. I can't help but feel for his son, Devon, trying to navigate life without his father. The community's response and continued calls for transparency in these cases are so important.
