On August 11, 2020, Kenneth Reiss, a 50-year-old beloved bar owner from Albuquerque, New Mexico, was fatally shot by officers of the Albuquerque Police Department (APD). The incident occurred after Reiss called the police to report a burglary at his home near the University of New Mexico (UNM).
