On November 2, 2021, a fatal encounter in a parking lot in southwest Albuquerque cut short the life of 31-year-old Hispanic male, Jerome T. Romo Lucero. The events unfolded at a furniture store located at Central and Atrisco, where a man named Hakamine Miller and three of his co-workers perceived Lucero to be tampering with equipment at their worksite.
